About Glen.

Glen is a founding partner of Peacock Piper Tong + Voss LLP, where he focuses his practice on representing clients in maritime, energy, transportation and logistics, insurance, manufacturing and construction and engineering industries. He represents his clients’ interests at every stage from initial onsite casualty investigations through trial and appeal.

Glen’s achievements include successful jury trials; defense arbitration awards; prevailing on appeals before state and federal courts and numerous negotiated settlements. Glen received his B.A degree in political science, with a minor in history from the University of California, Davis. He earned his J.D., with Great Distinction from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law, where he was in the top 10 of his class. He is also a member of the McGeorge Chapter of the Order of the Coif. During Glen’s career he has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” or “Rising Star of Southern California Law” by Super Lawyer Magazine (formally Law & Politics Magazine) for over 11 years and has been recognized as a “Best Lawyer” since 2016 in the areas of insurance, admiralty and maritime Law. Glen is a Proctor Member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States and a Board Member of the United States Propeller Club for the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.

While not in the courtroom, Glen enjoys traveling, gardening and spending time with his family and friends.

Glen has represented ship owners, charterers, operators and managers through out his career involving a wide variety of matters from major marine casualty investigations, oil spill responses, personal injury and wrongful death claims, MARPOL investigations, criminal prosecutions for violation of environmental laws, cargo damage and commercial disputes. He has also handled cases on behalf of vessel interests from post-accident investigations through appeal. Glen also has extensive experience conducting internal company investigations and audits relating to companies’ compliance with safety and environmental laws.

Glen’s experience includes advising clients during a spill response or government investigation as well as in criminal and civil litigation arising from oil spills. This includes coordinating Unified Command activities, investigating the cause of a spill as well as defending third party claims arising from a spill event.

He has represented marine terminal operators, their parent companies and landlords in regulatory matters and civil litigation. Such matters included commercial disputes, oil spills, property damage claims and personal injury investigations and lawsuits.

Additionally, Glen represents logistics and transportation companies, including motor carriers, in personal injury and wrongful death claims, contractual disputes and property damage claims. Representative matters include multi-truck accidents, property damage claims and premises liability claims.

Glen has represented clients in the construction and engineering industries for mass torts, OSHA investigations, code compliance regarding multi-million dollar building projects and servicing companies’ general litigation needs as parties or third-party witnesses.

Glen has defended and prosecuted cases on behalf of oil and gas companies for breach of contract, fraud, off-spec product, property damage, spills and environmental tort claims, personal injury and wrongful death. He also represents companies relating to OSHA investigations and citations.
